STARS 22-23 Changes - ELTP After-School Program Attendance Data Entry Screen Supporting Fields

The following new fields have been added to support the upcoming EELTO - ELTP After-School Program Attendance data entry page:

District level - District Info page:

• Include or Exclude Students from the EELTO -ELTP After School Program

• Note: This field should be set based on whether or not the majority of students will be participating (or not participating in the ELTP After-School program. If most of the students will be participating, set this field to Exclude and the smaller population of students that will not be participating can be excluded. Conversely, if most of the students will NOT be participating, set this field to Include and the smaller population of students that will be participating can be set to be included (participating).

Student level - State / Province NM > Misc tab

• If District level flag is set to Include, the student-level field description will display as follows :

  • Include this student in the EELTO - ELTP After School program

• If District level flag is set to Exclude, the student-level field description will display as follows:

  • Exclude this student in the EELTO - ELTP After School program

• Note: If District level flag has not been set, the student-level field description will display as follows:

  • Set Include/Exclude at the District Level to enable field

STARS 22-23 Program Services Fact Updates

NM Program Services Fact Template: Version 1.6

The following changes have been made to the Program Services Fact template for 22-23 STARS reporting:

• For EELTO records, the Service Code will report as ASPROGRAMS.

• The Service Duration column will be blank as it is no longer collected.

• The Service Provider Type Code column will be blank as it is no longer collected.

STARS 22-23 Special Ed Snapshot Updates - Off-Site Students

NM Sped Snapshot Template: Version 2.5

The Special Education Snapshot template has been updated to pull the following 2 columns for off-site students:

• Child Count District Code

• Child Count Location Code.

Note: These two new elements will only be extracted for Off-Site students. Off-Site students must have the one of the following fields on the Special Ed tab populated:

• Off-Site Student - Building Providing Services

• Off-Site Student - Responsible School

For Off-Site Students, the report will behave as follows:

• Element 2 - Location Code

  • This value must reflect the building number where the student is receiving services.

    • The report will check the following fields:

      • S_NM_STU_X.OSS_Service (Off-Site Student - Building Providing Services)

      • If the field is blank, the report will return the student’s school ID (or alternate school number)

• Element 68 - Child Count District Code

  • This value will be the same value that is reported for the LEA Number (element 1).

• Element 69 - Child Count Location Code

  • This value must reflect the building number of the building that is responsible for the student.

    • The report will check the following fields:

      • S_NM_STU_X.OSS_Responsible (Off-Site Student - Responsible School)

      • If the field is blank, the report will return the student’s school ID (or alternate school number)

For non Off-Site Students (regular students), the report will behave as follows:

• Element 2 - Location Code

  • This value will report in the same manner as it was reporting previously.

• Element 68 - Child Count District Code

  • This element will be blank.

• Element 69 - Child Count Location Code

  • This element will be blank.

The Type of diploma for graduating student field description (on the Graduation Plans tab) has been updated and the following verbiage has been removed:

At least one of the ADC check boxes must be checked if Type of diploma for graduating student is 3

Security has been improved on all the Data Exchange Admin pages to prevent any unauthorized access.
