All States: System CRDC 2021-2022 Report- Multiple Schools with identical SCH ID Calculation Update

2021-2022 CRDC Report: Version 1.6

The System CRDC 2021-2022 report (on the System Report tab) has been updated to calculate a combination of data when multiple schools have identical SCH IDs and one of the schools is marked as Primary.

NOVA - Gifted students having Special Ed records published erroneously

The Special Education Program record logic is updated and records will no longer be generated if:

• Gifted participation code field is set to Yes and the Primary area of the exceptionality field is set to G or is blank regardless of how the other fields on the Special Ed tab are set.

• Additionally, after discussions with PED, Special Education Program records will no longer be generated if the Primary area of exceptionality field is set to G.

  • Note: This was done after PED stated they do not want any Special Education records with a primaryAreaOfExceptionalityDescriptor value of G.

• Deletes will be sent for any Special Education records that were previously published erroneously for gifted students.

NOVA - Special Ed program services data is not publishing correctly

The Special Education Program record logic is updated and will correctly report services data through the following changes:

• If the Services Fact record contains an Entry Date in a previous school year, the logic will now report the student's school entry date as the serviceBeginDate. This will ensure the serviceBeginDate is always in the current school year.

  • Note: This date logic is the same logic that has been applied to other program related records in previous updates.

• If the Services Fact record contains no Exit Date, the logic will now return the student's school exit date as the serviceEndDate. This will ensure the serviceEndDate is always in the current school year.

  • Note: This date logic is the same logic that has been applied to other program related records in previous updates.

• The data will also now publish under the correct element name (specialEducationProgramServices) in the studentSpecialEducationProgramAssociation record.
