SIF Unique ID Request Setup & Configuration - Work in Progress

In order to pull down student unqiue ID’s, the following setup must be done on the PS server:

SIF Agent Install & Configuration - Self Hosted District Instructions:

Download the SIF Agent Installer.

Download the New Mexico PowerSchool State Messaging Plugin.

1. Install the SIF Agent

   1. Use the following settings when configuring the SIF Agent:

      1. SIF Version: 2.7 or 2.8

         1. If the version is set to 2.7, the data will be converted to the 2.8 spec automatically.

      2. SIF Mode: Pull

      3. SIF Messaging: Uncheck both boxes under Advanced

      4. Transports: HTTPS - Get cert from site below

      5. School Year: 24-25 (or whatever the current reporting year is)

      6. Set dates to July 1 - July 15 (of the current reporting year)

      7. Install the SMP as needed per state.

      8. Include all schools in the zone that have students that will be reported to the state including the District office.

      9. Install the adapter

SIF Agent Install & Configuration - Hosted districts Instructions

Hosted districts will need to create a PowerSchool Support ticket for Hosting and include the following information.

• Subject: Install SIF Agent for XYZ District

• Body: Please install the SIF Agent for XYZ District.  District URLs below.

• Agent Settings:

  • SIF Version: 2.4

  • SIF Mode: Pull

  • SIF Messaging: Uncheck both boxes under Advanced

  • Transports: HTTPS - Get cert from site below

  • School Year: 24-25

  • Set dates to July 1 - July 15

  • Install the SMP as needed per state.

  • List all school that should be included in the SIF Zone.

    • This will typically be any school that has student’s that will be reported to the state, including the District Office.

  • Install the adapter

  • Turn on SIF Events in PowerSchool
