Additional 21-22 STARS Data Collection Changes

The following data collection changes have been made for 21-22 STARS reporting:

• Programs Fact

• The following Programs Fact data collection changes have been made:

  • Path: Start Page> [Select Student]> State / Province NM> Programs Fact> Edit/New

    • Retired Program Codes

      • K5P

      • POS

    • The list of valid Participation Info Codes has been updated to match the current STARS specification.

Student School Enrollment Template:

• The following new field has been added

  • Path: Start Page> [Select Student]> Transfer Info> Edit Current Enrollment

  • Path: Start Page> [Select Student]> State / Province NM> Misc

    • Dental Examination Verification Waiver

      • S_NM_STU_X.DentalExamWaiver

  • Path: Start Page> [Select Student]> Transfer Info> Edit Previous Enrollment

    • Dental Examination Verification Waiver

      • S_NM_REN_X.DentalExamWaiver

Special Education Snapshot Template:

• The following new fields have been added

  • Path: Start Page> [Select Student]> State / Province NM> Special Education

    • Triennial Review Delay Reason Code

      • S_NM_STU_X.TriennialDelayRsnCd

    • Annual Review Delay Reason Code

      • S_NM_STU_X.AnnualDelayRsnCd

• Additionally, the Primary Setting Code option set descriptions have been updated to match the verbiage in the current STARS specification.

Special Education Events Template:

• The following Event Type Codes have been added:

  • 25 - Part C to B (12) - Determined to be eligible for early intervention services under Part C less than 90 days before the third birthday.

  • 26 - Part C to B (12) - Parent refused to provide consent for evaluation or initial services.

  • 35 - Part B (11) - Enrolls in school after the time frame for initial evaluations, and prior to a determination by the previous school

  • 36 - Part B (11) - Parent fails or refuses to produce the child for evaluation (at least three documented attempts)

  • 37 - LEA missed timeline (11 & 12)

• The Non-Compliance Reason Code option set has also been updated to match the new STARS specification.
