PowerSchool Data Exchange

PowerSchool Data Exchange (DEX) supports the electronic data exchange between PowerSchool and education agencies. Schools and LEAs can publish data easily and automatically from PowerSchool to the education agencies and download state and vendor provided data into PowerSchool from the education agencies. Data is securely transferred between PowerSchool and the education agency's systems using secure HTTP with security credentials as specified by the education agency.

DEX supports:

• Downloading data into PowerSchool
• Publishing data from PowerSchool
• Syncing data between PowerSchool and education agencies

Note: Outside agencies have no way of initiating contact or sending requests to PowerSchool to request data as a third-party. All data is within PowerSchool and is published (like other state reports) as configured and scheduled from within PowerSchool.
