The information below outlines the recommended guidance for each status combination of NOVA reporting and the PowerSchool EOY Process.
It is always recommended to complete NOVA reporting prior to running the PowerSchool EOY process.
NOVA Reporting Complete? Yes
PS EOY Complete? No | Turn Ed-Fi off (Item 3 below) and await instructions on 25-26 Ed-Fi setup. Do not attempt the 25-26 Ed-Fi setup prior to receiving instructions from PowerSchool.

NOVA Reporting Complete? No
PS EOY Complete? No | Continue publishing and fixing errors as necessary to finish EOY NOVA reporting.
Staff should not be updating student data for the 25-26 year |
NOVA Reporting Complete? No
PS EOY Complete? Yes | Ensure the correct year (in PS) is selected when editing and publishing data. Utilizing the "Publish for the current selection" functionality will give end users greater control over the data being published. Ensure the "Student Demographic Data As Of Date" setting for EOY is checked (Item 1 below). Note: Automatic publishing of data changes can be disabled (in Data Exchange Setup) to have better control of data being published. It is important to understand that, if this setting is disabled, a manually initiated Publish All or Publish Changes will still publish any data changes for the applicable resources (Item 2 below).
If student data needs to be updated, ensure the data is updated in the appropriate previous enrollment record.
