Ed-Fi - Add Student Level SR Fields to the ReEnrollments Table

In order to facilitate easier and more accurate reporting on data that is not necessarily current, the following fields have been added to the S_NM_REN_X (the New Mexico ReEnrollment table extension) and these fields will now save to the corresponding S_NM_REN_X field when a new student school enrollment record is created.

Additionally, these fields will be visible (and editable) within a student’s Edit Previous Enrollment page so field values for a given school enrollment can be updated if necessary.

Notes:

  • Fields in italics were added to the S_NM_REN_X table extension but were not exposed on the Edit Previous Enrollment screen because they are not used for NOVA reporting.

  • The Ed-Fi resource logic to utilize these new S_NM_REN_X fields is still being worked on and these changes will be released in a future update.

NOVA - WeaponDescriptor Update

The DisciplineIncident logic has been updated to automatically publish a given (logical) weapon descriptor value based on the behavior. The impacted behaviors and the corresponding weapon descriptor value that will be published are listed below:

  • 1- Assault/battery with firearm

    • Reported weapon descriptor - Other Firearm

  • 2 - Assault/battery with knife or cutting object

    • Reported weapon descriptor - Other Sharp Object

  • 3 - Assault/battery with other dangerous weapon

    • Reported weapon descriptor - Other Object

  • 51 - Weapons Possession – Knife/Cutting

    • Reported weapon descriptor - Knife

  • 52 - Weapons Possession – Other

    • Reported weapon descriptor - Other

  • 61 - Handgun Possession

    • Reported weapon descriptor - Handgun

  • 62 - Rifle/Shotgun Possession

    • Reported weapon descriptor - Rifle/Shotgun

  • 63 - Other Firearms Possession

    • Reported weapon descriptor - Other Firearm

  • 64 - Multiple Firearms
