Student Course Enrollment Extract

Introduction

This extract generates a comma-delimited file containing one record per student enrollment in each course/section combination. This extract provides snapshot data active on the STARS reporting dates.

Selection Criteria

Selection criteria determine which database records are used in the report.

Course Enrollment Selection

The report selects student records from the [CC] table based on the following criteria:

The enrollment must be associated with a school included in the report.
The enrollment Start Date must occur on or before the report date.
The enrollment Exit Date must occur after the report date.
The enrollment must be active on the reporting date.

Student Selection

The report selects student records from the [Students] or [ReEnrollments] table who are not be excluded from state reporting.

For the K5P reporting period:

At least one student enrolled in the class must have an active Programs Fact enrollment into the K5P or SS programs.

Report Input

Field	Description
Select Schools	Choose one of the following: Current School Only – Includes all student records associated with the current school that meet the selection criteria. To change the current school, click the School link at the top of the page and choose the appropriate school from the list. All Schools – Includes all records on the PowerSchool server that meet the selection criteria.
Select Students	Choose one of the following: The Selected [x] Students Only – Run the report for students in the current selection. All Students – Run the report for all students in the current school or district.
Report Period	Choose a reporting period from the pop-up menu: 40D 80D 120D EOY Summer Year Round
Field in Courses table used to track State Course Number	Choose the appropriate field from the pop-up menu: Course Number Alternate Course Number
Snapshot Date	Enter the snapshot date. Note: If you are scheduling these reports to run on a set schedule (for the Year Round reporting period), the Snapshot Date should be left blank. The report will then use the current system date.
