PSSR-333912

All States/Provinces: Meningococcal (MenACWY) Compliance Update

The Meningococcal (MenACWY) vaccine compliance for KG students has been adjusted to align with specific criteria where two doses are required. The first dose is required at entry to 7th grade (11-12 years) and the second dose at 11th grade (16-18 years). For children aged 16-18 years without a previous MenACWY vaccine, only one dose is required.

All States: Term Submission Issue Fix in CRDC Final Grade Store Codes Page

An issue where users could submit Final Grade Store Codes without specifying a term has been resolved. Users will now receive the appropriate error message, preventing such submissions.

With this State Reporting Release, the below-mentioned updates are now available for the Data Exchange Dashboard:

• The Clear Cache button has been removed as the page will get refreshed itself.

• The handling of error messages has been improved for better usability.

Updates to the Student and Staff Publishing Page

With this State Reporting Release, the below-mentioned updates are now available for the student and staff publishing page

• The Publish All option has been renamed to Republish All, as the button republishes the already published data for the student and staff. The information gets displayed once hovered over the button.

• A Collapse All option has been provided on the top of the publishing selection beside the Category Column. Clicking on the arrow will collapse all the resources published on the page.

NOVA - Student Program - BUS Record Auto Generation updates

The Student Program (studentProgramAssociation) BUS/BUSA/BSCE auto generation logic has been updated and now, the record will be generated for the school the student was at on the reporting date.

This means that students with multiple school enrollments will no longer get a BUS/BUSA/BSCE record for each school enrollment.

NOVA - vehicleSnapshot and vehicleMileage resource update

The following updates have been made to the vehicleSnapshot and vehicleMileage resources:

• vehicleSnapshot

  • The vehicleUseIndicator will now publish as True if the Vehicle in use on reporting period? field is set to Yes.

  • If the Exclude from state reporting field is checked, that bus will not be published to NOVA.

• vehicleMileage

  • vehicleMileage records will now only be published for busses where the Vehicle in use on reporting period? field is set to Yes.

    • Deletes will be sent for any vehicleMileage records that pertain to busses where the Vehicle in use on reporting period? field is set to No or blank.

PSSR-341314

NOVA – Course And Section Resource Exclusion Flag Logic Update

The logic has been updated and it will no longer look at the following section-level exclude flag as it is not exposed on the New/Edit Section page or being used in New Mexico:

PSSR-340130

NOVA- studentAssessments Updates

The following updates have been made to studentAssessments publishing logic:

• The Record will get published if the testDate is greater than or equal to 7/1/YYYY (the initial year of the school year; 2023 for the 23-24 year) and less than or equal to the current sys date.

• The logic will now tie the studentAssessment record to the appropriate school enrollment based on the test date.

• The standardAchievedCodeDescriptor will be blank for any EARLY CHILDHOOD Entry records.

Special Education EVents - New EVent Reason - DNQ (Did Not Qualify)

A new Special Education Events - Event Reason has been added to indicate the student “Did Not Qualify” for Special Education. Use of this new Event Reason code will be required to publish these students to PED.

Note: The functionality to publish these students in NOVA is still being worked on and will be released in a future update.

Vehicle New/Edit UI Updates

The following updates are made in Vehicle New/Edit Page

• Vehicle in use on reporting period? field has been converted to a Yes/No field and the old options are removed.

  • A reposchema update will also convert any existing non-blank field values to Yes (Y).

• The Deactivate this bus? field description has been updated to Exclude this bus from State Reporting?

• The Odometer Mileage & Odometer Reading Date fields will now appear closer to the top of the page.

• The current Odometer Mileage On Current Reporting Date field has been removed from the page.

  • Note: This field was previously on the page in two locations (with slightly different field descriptions) which was causing odd field behavior depending on the field that was updated. With this change, the field only appears once on the page (with the Odometer Mileage field description) and will save as expected.
