030 – Class Section

Introduction

This extract includes a record for each section taught during the current school year.

For sections with students from another school (concurrent enrollments), the section is reported both for the school at which the section is taught (the concurrent school) and for the school at which the student is enrolled (the student's primary school). The school number for the primary school must be entered in the Primary School field on the Edit Section page at the concurrent school.

Extracting Data for an Individual Section

You can recreate and extract an individual section The next time the extract is created the recreated data will be included.

  1. Navigate to the School Setup > [select course] > Edit Section page for the section.
  2. Select the Recreate 030 - Class Section checkbox.
  3. Navigate to Special Functions > Interfaces to other systems > Tennessee Education Information System (EIS) > Recreate Section/Staff Transactions.
  4. Select the 030 - Class Section checkbox.
  5. Click Submit.

The district number.

The four-digit year that the instructional program will be operated to provide instructional services to students. This is the current full year term, as defined using the special operation. See the District Setup > Years & Terms section for more information.

The number used to uniquely identify the program within the school.

  • T – Traditional
  • P – Pull-Out
  • C – Self-Contained Departmentalized
    Note: Self-contained classes are reported as traditional – do not confuse this with self-contained departmentalized.

The teaching method for this section.

  • (H) Hybrid Virtual Course
  • (O) On-Line (no longer used)
