Preliminary Staff Report
Introduction
This report returns scheduled classes by staff member. The fall semester version of this report includes all classes scheduled from the beginning of the school year (any class scheduled through the end of report period 4). The spring semester version includes all classes scheduled through the end of the school year (active at end of reporting period 5). The report uses the First Reporting Period for Fall and the Fifth Reporting Period for Spring. Reporting periods must be mapped to reporting segments via Start Page > School Setup > Reporting Segments.
Selection Criteria
Selection criteria determine which database records are used in the report. Refer to selection criteria for analysis when the report does not return the correct records.
Staff Member Selection
The report selects records from the [Teachers] table based on the following criteria:
- The staff member must have a Staff Status equal to Current on the Edit Information staff page.
- The staff member must not be excluded from state reporting.
- The staff member must be associated with a school included in the report and the school must not be excluded from state reporting.
- The staff member must have a staff assignment that begins on or before the reporting segment end date and ends after the reporting segment start date. The report uses the First Reporting Period for Fall and the Fifth Reporting Period for Spring.
- The staff member must be a supervising principal, teaching principal, assistant principal, classroom teacher, or university teacher, i.e. the staff assignment must have one of the following codes: PE, PM, PS, PP, PV, PO PF, PN, PG, PQ, PW, PR, TE, TM, TS, TP TV, TO TF, TN, TG, TQ, TW, TR, AE, AM, AS AP, AV, AO, LB, LF, RO, GE, GM, GS, SI, IO, LI, MP, CP, VP, HP, or UN.
- The staff member must be assigned a Staff Work Status (Full-Time or Part-Time).
Section Selection
The report selects records from the [Sections] table based on the following criteria:
- The section must be associated with a teacher included in the report.
- The section must not be excluded from state reporting.
- The section must be assigned to a term that begins before the reporting segment end date and ends after the reporting segment start date.
- The section must be assigned to a course with an alternate course number.

Processing Options | Choose a time to run the report from the pop-up menu:

Specific Date/Time | Enter a date using the format mm/dd/yyyyor mm-dd-yyyyin order to run the report on a specific day. The incorrect format displays an alert and the date field is submitted as a blank entry. Use the pop-up menus to schedule the report to be run at a specific hour and minute. Example: 7/29/2008 @ 10 AM : 05. |
School Term | Choose Fall or Spring from the pop-up menu. The report uses the First Reporting Period for Fall and the Fifth Reporting Period for Spring. Reporting periods must be mapped to reporting segments via Start Page > School Setup > Reporting Segments. |
School Year | Enter the appropriate school year. For example, enter 2010 for the 2010-2011 school year. |
