048 – Student Class Assignment

Introduction

This extract includes a record for each section enrollment for students in the current school year.

For students who attend classes at another school (concurrent enrollments), the class assignment is reported both for the school at which the section is taught (the concurrent school) and for the school at which the student is enrolled (the student's primary school).

The district number.

If the student is taking this class at another school, then the class assignment is included in the file for both the school at which the section is taught (the concurrent school) and at the student's primary school. PowerSchool determines that the class assignment is a concurrent enrollment if the SchoolID of the class enrollment record does not match the SchoolID of their primary school.

The date the student was scheduled to first attend the course.

Student Class End Date

The date the student left the course. This value is reported as the day before the date recorded in PowerSchool. The date recorded in PowerSchool must be the day after the student's last day in class.

Note: If the class does not have an end date, this field is reported as a zero (0).

Vocational Outside LEP

Indicates that the student's course meets vocational qualification above the base 23.5 Special Ed.

If using EDPlan the vocational status is determined from the vocational indicator found on the student > state > Special Education information page. If not using EDPlan the indicator found in Student > Special Programs page will be used to determine vocational status.
