ADA Formula

ADA Formula: (days_present * time_scheduled _ std_day) / period_days

The same information as defined in the ADM definitions table applies to ADA. ADA differs from ADM in that ADA is calculated according to the number of days present and not the number of days enrolled.

For example:

  • Example 1: Student in a school with vocational subjects, 390 minute standard day, missed 2 days of school. ADA = (18 * 390) / 390 / 20 = 0.9000 ADA.
  • Example 2: Student in an elementary school and missed 5 days of school, 420 minute standard day. ADA = (15 * 420) / 420 / 20 = 0.7500 ADA.
