Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress Extract

Contents

Introduction

This extract serves two different purposes to register students for state testing based on each selection criteria:

  • If run using the Assessment Registration selection criteria, the report extracts current, active students in grades 3-11 that enrolled or re-enrolled in the district after October 1 of the current year, excluding students with Entry Code 16.
  • If run using the Assessment Accommodations selection criteria, the report extracts current, active students in grades 3-11 that have at least one assessment accommodation.

The report can also be run for a user-defined selection of students.

Selection Criteria

Selection criteria determine which database records are used in the report. Refer to selection criteria for analysis when the report does not return the correct records.

Student Selection

The report selects records from the [Students] or [ReEnrollments] table that meets all of the following criteria:

  • The student must not be excluded from state reporting.
  • The student’s school exit date must occur after the school entry date.
  • The student’s school must not be excluded from state reporting.
  • Additional selection criteria apply when the default option to "Only include students meeting the state criteria" is selected. Refer to the Output Option below for additional details.
  • Assessment Registration selects students that enrolled in grades 3-11 after October 1, and remain actively enrolled when this extract is generated.
  • Assessment Accommodations select students in grades 3-11 that have been assigned at least one assessment accommodation on the IA Testing tab.
  • User-Defined Extract selects all students in grades 3-11 that are actively enrolled.
