State Reporting 22.5.2.0 Release Notes

A new Log Entries tab is now available within the Iowa Error Checks. Access this feature from the Start Page by clicking on the System Reports link. The Iowa Error Checks tab displays as the last tab. The Discipline Log Entries error checks include the same validations as displayed on the Log Entries page, including updates to the validations for Behavior Incident Number, Action Taken, Problem Behavior, and Length of Removal. Clicking on the pencil icon to the right of the student opens a new browser window and directs the user to the Log Entries record requiring correction.

• Missing Behavior Incident Number: Identifies records where E0005 - Behavior Incident Number is missing. For state reporting, incident numbers are now required in all discipline records when E0022 - Problem Behavior is not blank.
• Missing Action Taken: Identifies records where E0012 – Action Taken is missing. Action Taken is required in all discipline records when E0022 - Problem Behavior is not blank.
• Missing Problem Behavior: Identifies records where E0022 – Problem Behavior is missing. Problem Behavior is required in all records when E0012 – Action Taken is not blank.
• Invalid Zero Tolerance Policy Expulsion: Identifies records where E0025 - Zero Tolerance Policy Expulsion violates one of the following state rules:
  • Zero Tolerance Policy Expulsion must be 0 or 1 when Action Taken is 3 or 4.
  • Zero Tolerance Policy Expulsion must be 99 if Action Taken is not 3 or 4.
• Invalid Length of Removal: Identifies records where E0040 – Length of Removal violates one of the following state rules:
  • If not blank or 0, Length of Removal must not be greater than 187.0
  • Length of Removal must be greater than 0 when Action Taken is 1-6 (Removals).
• Missing Date of Removal: Identifies records where E0050 – Date of Removal is missing. Date of Removal is required in all discipline records when the Action Taken is 1-6.
• Missing Weapon Type: Identifies records where E0060 – Weapon Type is missing. Weapon Type is required in all discipline records when the Problem Behavior is 32.
