OnSIS Verification Summary - Section B - Combined Class

Section B Combined Class For Grades 9 to 12

The Section B Combined Class for Grades 9 to 12 Summary report shows aggregate course counts for secondary students in Grades 9 to 12 enrolled in combined classes. A combined class is a class that has more than one segment in the permanent table. The report groups results by course and splits totals into English and French columns. The report prints in alphabetical section order and is generated for the October, March, and June submission periods.

Selection Criteria

Selection criteria determine which database records are used in the report. Refer to the selection criteria for analysis when the report does not return the correct records.

School Selection

• The selected school must be a secondary school.

• School must not be Excluded From State Reporting.

• School is identified by Alternative School Number (BSID).

Class Selection

• Students are selected from the permanent S_ON_XML_Class_S table.

• Only includes classes with multiple segments based on the S_ON_XML_SEGMENT_S table.

• The report includes the Class entries based on these Class Types:
   Public schools

  • Class Type - R (Regular)

  • Class Type - RCR (Credit Recovery)

  • Class Type - E (Online)

  • Class Type - OTH (Other)

Private Schools
Class Type - NA (Not Applicable)

• For public and private schools, the Student Class Enrolment entries must not have the Course Delivery Types:

  • 4 (Out-of-school Co-op)

  • 5 (In-school Co-op)

Student Selection

• Students are selected from the S_ON_STU_XML_CLASS_ENROL_C permanent table.

• Students must be in Grades 9, 10, 11, or 12.

• Student must be in the selected academic year, school BSID, and submission type.

Refer to Understanding the Report Output Table for a definition of each column in the table.

The report is ordered by Course Code in alpha/ascending order.
