OnSIS Verification Detail - Section B - Combined Class

Section B Combined Class For Grades 9 to 12

The Section B Combined Class for Grades 9 to 12 Details report lists student-level records by course for secondary schools enrolled in combined classes. Combined classes are those where more than one segment record exists for a Class ID. This report is available for secondary schools only and helps verify combined class data before submission. The report is generated for the October, March, and June submission periods. The details report lists individual student information for students included in the OnSIS Verification Summary - Section B report.

Prerequisites

• To ensure complete and accurate data generation, users must first import the appropriate PAE files for the submission and run the OnSIS Secondary Report, selecting the Save XML flag. These steps ensure all necessary XML data is properly stored before executing the verification report.

Selection Criteria

Selection criteria determine which database records are used in the report. Refer to selection criteria for analysis when the report does not return the correct records.

School Selection

• Must be a secondary school.

• Schools must not be Excluded From State Reporting.

• The selected school is identified by Alternative School Number (BSID).

Class Selection

• Prints classes from S_ON_XML_Class_S.

• Only includes classes with multiple segments based on S_ON_XML_SEGMENT_S table.

• The report includes the Class entries based on the Class Type as follows:
   Public schools

  • Class Type - “R” (Regular)

  • Class Type - “RCR” (Credit Recovery)

  • Class Type - “E” (Online)

  • Class Type - “OTH” (Other)

Private Schools
Class Type = “NA” (Not Applicable)

• For public and private schools the Student Class Enrolment entries must not have the Course Delivery Type:

  • “4” (Out-of-school Co-op)

  • “5” (In-school Co-op)

Student Selection

• Students are selected from the S_ON_STU_XML_CLASS_ENROL_C permanent table.

• Students must be in Grades 9, 10, 11, or 12.

• Student must be in the selected academic year, school BSID, and submission type,

• A student is counted or just listed in the report based on the following rule: if the Course Start Date is >= Cycle Start Date and the Withdrawal/ Dropped Code is null then COUNT the Student Class Enrolment record; otherwise, LIST the Student Class Enrolment record.  The Course End Date condition is not necessary.

  Additional Notes:

The <Total> in the Summary report should be equal to the Total number of <Counted> students in the Detail report.

• The report is ordered by Course Code Asc, then by either Student name or OEN based on the user’s input parameter selection.
