Pre-ID Test Labels for NJ ASK Tests - Legacy

Introduction

Important note: Beginning in school year 2010-2011, this report is obsolete.

It is no longer required by the New Jersey Department of Education. Rather, use the NJ SMART Pre-ID for ASK report to create the Pre-ID Test Label extract file for students taking the ASK tests. The resulting extract file can then be uploaded to NJ SMART.

This report appears in the Legacy Report – No Longer Used area of the State Reports page. The report will be removed after the NJ SMART Pre-ID for ASK has been used a couple of years and NJ SMART makes final determination that test labels will continue to be requested via NJ SMART rather than the outside testing agency which required label requests via this report.

Selection Criteria

Selection criteria determine which database records are used in the report. For the Pre-ID Test Labels for NJ ASK Tests extract, student records are selected.

Field	Description
Use	Choose one of the following from the pop-up menu: Current School Only – Includes all student records associated with the current school that meet the selection criteria. To change the current school, click School at the top of the page and choose the appropriate school from the list. District Wide (default) – Includes all student records on the PowerSchool server that meet the selection criteria.
Students to Include	Indicate which students to include in the report by selecting one of the following options: The selected [number] students only – Run the report for students in the current selection. All students – Run the report for all students in the current school or district that meet the selection criteria. Note: If running the report for a single student, or group of students, select the students prior to running report.
Date to Scan	Enter the date to scan for the report.
Processing Options	Choose a time to run the report from the pop-up menu: In Background Now (Recommended) to execute the report immediately in the background. ASAP to execute the report in the order it is received in the Report Queue. At Night to execute the report during the next evening. On Weekend to execute the report during the next weekend. On Specific Time to execute the report on the date and time specified.
Specific Date/Time	Enter a date using the format mm/dd/yyyy or mm-dd-yyyy in order to run the report on a specific day. The incorrect format displays an alert and the date field is submitted as a blank entry. Use the pop-up menus to schedule the report to be run at a specific hour and minute. Example: 7/29/2008 @ 10:-5 AM.
Grades (leave blank for all)	Click each grade level you want to include in the extract. All grade levels are included in the extract if none are selected.
Include Delimiters	Click the Include Delimiters option to include delimiters between the fields in the extract file. The default is No Delimiters. You cannot upload a file with Delimiters.
