NJ SLA (Student Learning Assessment) Report
Introduction
The report is used to generate the registration form to be uploaded to PearsonAccess Next for the NJSLA-ELA and NJSLA-M assessments.
Understanding the Report Output Table
The report output table for this report includes the following elements:
PowerSchool Field Name (NJSMART Data Element) – The name of the PowerSchool source field, followed in italics by the NJSMART data element name in cases where differences exist.
Data elements are displayed in the order in which they appear in the state NJ SLA report Registration Submission file layout.
In general, the PowerSchool field name is the same as the NJSMART data element name, but with spaces added between each word.
Where differences exist, the NJSMART data element name also appears in italics.
Description(PowerSchool Business Logic) - The definition of the data element, followed by any PowerSchool business logic used to generate the report output.
[Table] – The name of the table where the data is stored.
Field Name – The name of the field where the data is stored.
Note: The Table name appears in brackets with the Field Name directly following. Example: [Table]FieldName.
Field Length – The length of the data element when extracted.
Req'd – Identifies if the field is mandatory (M), optional (O) or conditional (C). Conditional data elements are output with a non-blank value only if applicable to the student.
Selection Criteria
Student Selection
The student is actively enrolled on the Report Snapshot Date.
The student is included in State Reporting, and is included in NJ SMART extracts.
The student does not have an Exit Date before an Entry Date.
ELA – the student must meet at least one of the following criteria:
The student is in grades 03-11 and enrolled in a valid ELA program.
The student has an ELA Test Code override.
Math - the student must meet at least one of the following criteria:
The student is in grades 03-12 and is currently scheduled for Algebra I (052, 053 or 054), or Geometry (071, 072 or 073), or Algebra II (056).
The student is in grades 03-08 and is not scheduled for Algebra I, Geometry, or Algebra II.
The student has a Math Test Code override.
