NJ ASSA Special Enrollments Data Extract

Introduction

Use the NJ ASSA SpEnrollments Data Extract option to generate the Special Enrollments data extract file for the New Jersey ASSA report. You can run this report district-wide or only for the current school.

The extract file contains all ASSA related data currently stored in the Special Enrollments table.

Selection Criteria

Selection criteria determine which database records are used in the report. Refer to selection criteria for analysis of report results when the report does not return the correct records.

Student Selection

The report selects the student records to count based on the following criteria:

The student is included in the state reporting process (Exclude from State Reporting is No for the student).
The student is actively enrolled on the entered Scan Date.

If run at the district level, choose one of the following from the pop-up menu:

Default – District Wide. Includes all records on the PowerSchool server that meet selection criteria.
Current School Only – Includes all records associated with the current school that meet the selection criteria.
District Wide – Includes all records on the PowerSchool server that meet the selection criteria.

If run at the school level, the report includes all records associated with the current school that meet the selection criteria. To change the current school, click School at the top of the page and choose the appropriate school from the list.

Date to Scan

Enter the date to scan for the report. Usually, this date is October 15 of the current school year.

Report Output

Each of the fields displayed in the output of the report is described below. See Understanding the Report Output Table for a definition of each column in the table.

8	NJ PTC Code	This field contains the program type code for the school enrollment. Note: If you choose (determine using special program enrollments), this field is blank. The NJ Program Type Code is automatically based on the Students Grade level, their part-time student setting, and their special status setting, and their special program enrollments. For students with no special program enrollments, the values output will be the same as the NJ Grade Level Code. For students with special program enrollments the values output will be 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 56, 57.
