Immigrant
Defining Immigrant Programs
Immigrant records are added automatically in an overnight process if the following criteria are applicable:
- The student is age 3 to 21 on the fall snapshot date.
- The student was not born in the US or Puerto Rico (Birth Country field on Other Info page)
- If the Date First Enrolled in US Schools minus the Months Not in US Schools (from the Other Info page) is less than 36 months, or the student has a value less than 3 in the Years in US Schools field on the most current LEP special programs record.
If the student no longer meets these criteria, the process exits their current Immigrant record.

Grade Level | Grade EE, PK, and KG are recorded numerically in Power School and converted when reported to PEIMS. PowerSchool will use PK=-1 and EE=-2. Immigrant Indicator (E0797) | Choose a Immigrant Indicator code. Follow the rules in PEIMS Data Standards to establish procedures to remove immigrants when they no longer meet criteria.
