TN Ed-Fi: CTSO information in separate Student Demographics record at School level |
Tennessee Ed-Fi reporting for v7.3 and later has been updated to align with Tennessee Department of Education (TDOE) requirements for reporting CTSO club memberships. For students participating in CTSO organizations, such as DECA and FFA, who have data stored accordingly in the student’s CTSO page, an additional Student Demographics record will now be published at the school level using the School ID as the Education Organization ID. This record includes CTSO chapter and membership identifiers in the student identification codes array for the student's primary enrollment. This change helps ensure CTSO membership information is reported according to TDOE requirements. District Action Required: Districts that report CTSO memberships must republish the Student Demographics resource category in Data Exchange to submit school-level CTSO identification records to the Ed-Fi ODS. Publishing Consideration: CTSO records with the same start and end dates will not be accepted by the Ed-Fi ODS and will not publish successfully. Additionally, if a student has CTSO records created at multiple schools during the same school year, a separate school-level Student Demographics record will be published for each school where CTSO membership records exist. |

TN Ed-Fi: Student Demographics Published at District Level instead of School Enrollment Level |
Tennessee Ed-Fi reporting for v7.3 and later has been updated to publish a single Student Demographics (StudentEducationOrganizationAssociation) record per student at the district level using the district ID as the Education Organization ID rather than publishing multiple records per school enrollment. Additionally, non-lunch and lunch classifications reported as student characteristic descriptors are now validated against district term dates and not school term dates. District Action Required: Districts must republish the Student Demographics resource category in Data Exchange page using the Publish All option to clear redundant records and also for the new demographics record at district level to publish to the ODS. Publishing Consideration: Duplicate Non lunch or lunch records present in SIS for a student, will not be accepted by the Ed-Fi ODS and will not publish successfully. |
