Ed-Fi: Parent Programs Resource No Longer Published for School Info |
Based on guidance received from TDOE, parent Program resources are no longer required to be published. As a result, the Programs resource has been made inactive SIS' Ed-Fi implementation for TN. To reflect this change, the Programs view has been removed from the School Info section of the Data Exchange dashboard. Publishing behavior for Student Programs remains unchanged, and student‑level Program data will continue to publish as it does today. To clear any existing Program‑related errors created prior to this update, districts should run Publish Changes for the School Info category. |

Ed-Fi: Simplified EduID Request and State Student Number Saving |
The EduID request flow on the TN Student Information page has been streamlined to reduce unnecessary steps and improve clarity. The confirmation pop‑up that appeared on the Results page when the existing State Student Number differed from the value returned by the State Identities server has been removed. Users can now easily compare these values by reviewing the State Student Number shown in the page banner and the legacy ID displayed in the search results. In addition, the State Student Number (legacy ID) is now automatically saved when users select Next on the EduID search results page, similar to how the EduID is saved. Users no longer need to select the Submit button on the TN Student Information page to complete this step, resulting in a faster and more intuitive workflow. No action is required from districts. |

Ed-Fi: Secondary Enrolment Class Period linked to Bell Schedule |
Ed‑Fi publishing for Tennessee has been updated to ensure that Class Periods for remote/concurrent enrollments are linked to a Bell Schedule at the student’s Primary (Home) School. Previously, remote Class Periods could publish without an associated Bell Schedule, resulting in TNDOE validation error 2011 in the SWORD system. With this update, secondary Class Periods are now referenced using a new Primary School Bell Schedule published at the Primary (Home) school. Districts only need to Publish Changes for the Schedules resource from the Data Exchange Dashboard to ensure that the new Bell Schedules corresponding to the Remote Enrolments are sent to the State ODS. |
