NOVA - (studentSpecialEducationAssociationEvents) SPED Events updates to publish events with the event date in the past but within 365 days from the enrollment start date

The SPED Events resource (studentSpecialEducationAssociationEvents) publishing logic has been updated to address the issue of an event not publishing even if it is within 365 days in the past from the enrollment begin date.

NOVA - (studentSpecialEducationProgramAssociations) Special Education - Updates to publish data from the IEP Child table

The (studentSpecialEducationProgramAssociations) Special Education resource has been updated to publish the following fields from the most recent S_NM_STU_IEP_C record whose IEP Start Date falls between the begin and end dates of the SPED record.

• multiplyDisabled

• annualReviewDelayReasonDescriptor

• specialEducationLevelOfIntegrationDescriptor

• specialEducationSettingDescriptor

• lastEvaluationDate

If there are no records in S_NM_STU_IEP_C, then the Special Education resource will error out due to missing mandatory fields. This would mean that a record would need to be entered in the IEP child table for the Special Education record to publish successfully.

If there are no records in S_NM_STU_IEP_C whose start date falls between the begin and end date of the Special Education record, then the values of the above fields will be published from the most recent record, irrespective of whether its start date falls within the begin and end dates of the Special Education record.

NOVA - studentSpecialEducationProgramAssociationIEPDates (Special Education IEP Dates) - New Resource is now available

A new NOVA resource - studentSpecialEducationProgramAssociationIEPDates (Special Education IEP Dates) - is now available in PowerSchool. The resource is available under Student Programs on the Student’s publishing page, and on other Ed-Fi dashboards in PowerSchool.

A record for this resource will be published for each record in the IEP child table (S_NM_STU__IEP_C) on the Student’s Special Ed page if the record is active for any duration in the reporting year. This will also include any records whose start date might be before the current year. In determining whether the record is active during the reporting year, the end date of the IEP child table record is assumed to be a day prior to the start date of the next IEP child table record.

The Special Education IEP Dates resource contains a reference to the Special Education resource, which is based on the active SPED record at the time of the IEP begin date. If the Student has the primary area of exceptionality = G, then no records for this resource will be published since there will be no corresponding Special Education records. The Special Education IEP Dates resource has a dependency on the Special Education resource in PowerSchool. This means that there must be a Special Education record published for some part of the duration that the IEP record spans.

PSSR-406902

Action Codes 10 and 11 are no longer State Reportable

The following action codes are now updated to not be State Reportable:

• 10 - Restraint^

• 11 - Seclusion^

Any incident resource records that have only these action codes associated with them will no longer publish to NOVA. However, if any other action codes are also part of the same incident where codes 10 and 11 are also present, then the incident records corresponding to other State Reportable action codes will continue to publish.
