NM - Ed-Fi - Re-Enrollment - Homeless updates

The logic for generating a record in the STUDENTHOMELESSPROGRAMASSOCIATIONS has been updated. When the Homeless field in S_NM_REN_X is set to Y or HS, the record is now sourced from the REN extension instead of the STU extension.

Edit Previous School Enrollment Screen Update

• Introduced the S_NM_REN_X.Homeless field to the Edit Previous School Enrollment screen.

• The field is displayed in the Demographics section, positioned below the Dwelling Arrangement Code field.

Field Relocation in Programs Section

• Relocated the Verified Federal Form 506 or Census Number on file field.

• This field now appears under the Title VII Participation field in the Programs section for improved clarity and alignment.

NOVA - (gradingPeriods) Grading Period updates to publish mini terms

The gradingPeriods publishing logic has been updated to publish mini terms as well. This will also resolve any issues with Student Grades (grades) not publishing due to a missing grading period.

NOVA - (StudentSpecialEducationAssociationEvents) SPED Events publishing logic updates to publish a single event

The (StudentSpecialEducationAssociationEvents) SPED Events publishing logic is now updated to publish only a single event of the same type irrespective of the number of StudentSpecialEducationProgramAssociation records for the student.

NOVA - Grade level to publish as 2U for students in 996 schools

The logic for publishing grade level 2U for students in a 996 school has been updated. Any student with a schoolID/EdOrgID ending in 996 will now report a grade level of 2U. This applies to students enrolled in a school with the LocationCode of 996 or enrolled in an actual 996 school.

NOVA - Grades - Updates to publish based on Final Grade Store Code values

Grades resource records will now publish historical grades only for values entered in Student Grades Final Grade Store Code for the school term.

Any store code in stored grades that is not indicated in this setup will not be published.

NOVA - gradingPeriods - Publishing Logic Enhancements

gradingPeriod records will now publish for all the grading periods. This will ensure that grades and sessions records do not error out due to missing grading periods.

NOVA - ReEnrollment Level Publishing Logic Updates

In order to more accurately publish NOVA record types by school enrollment, the logic has been updated and will now look at ReEnrollment level fields, on a student's Edit Previous Enrollment screen, when publishing NOVA related elements.

Due to these changes, it is imperative that if data being reported for a previous school enrollment needs to be corrected, the value in question must be corrected by editing the appropriate field on the appropriate Edit Previous Enrollment screen.

NOVA - StudentSchoolAssociation - entryTypeDescriptor and exitWithdrawTypeDescriptor Logic Updates

The logic updates for the entryTypeDescriptor and exitWithdrawTypeDescriptor elements in the StudentSchoolAssociation resource have been updated to provide LEAs flexibility in maintaining the Entry and Exit Codes in PowerSchool. The changes involve honoring specific configuration fields within the EntryCode and ExitCode Code Sets in PowerSchool.

If a Code has a Reported Value assigned, the Reported Value will be published instead of the Code itself. The logic will validate the Code (or Reported Value) based on the presence of Start Date and End Date. If the date of publishing falls between the Start and End Dates of the code, then the Code (or its Reported value) is considered valid.

If the Exclude from State Reporting checkbox is set for an assigned Code, that Code will not be published. A blank will be published instead.

These changes aim to allow for the use of deprecated/retired codes, enable users to utilize local codes and report a valid NOVA value, and permit the use of local codes when NOVA entry/exit codes are not required, ensuring the value is not published.

NOVA - Updates to prevent deletion of Student Identification (students) records when the student is enrolled in the next school year

When an enrollment was created in the next school year, either through EOY or manually, deletes were being sent for the Student Identification (students) resource and all dependent resources. This has now been addressed.

Staff Development Fact Records UI Display Issue

If the year abbreviation was not created in the XX-XX (i.e. 24-25) format, Staff Development fact records, once created, did not display in the UI.

This has been corrected and now records with these different term abbreviations will display as expected.
