This will create the MI Worksheet B report. Use this report to determine Full Time Equivalency (FTE) membership assigned to Basic Classroom Programs as well as a total count of handicapped students by program category and by grade.
Note: If a student transfers between buildings after count day, do not update the teacher on the Special Ed tab of the State/Province-MI page for the student until after the Worksheet B has been printed.
Selection criteria determine which database records are used in the report. Refer to selection criteria for analysis when the report does not return the correct records.
The report selects records based on the following criteria:
- The student is included in state reporting. ([Students]State_ExcludeFromReporting=0)
- Special Education Student flag is selected. ([S_MI_STU_GC_X]flagSpecEd=1)
- Student was active on the entered Count Date in the report parameters. ([Students]ExitDate>=Count Date)
- Student is assigned a Special Education Instructor. ([S_MI_STU_GC_X]seTeacher# )
- Special Education exit date is blank or greater than the Count Date in the report parameters. ([S_MI_STU_GC_X]seExitDate= ) or ([S_MI_STU_GC_X]seExitDate>Count Date)
- Section 52 FTE value is greater than zero. ([S_MI_STU_GC_X]FTE52>0)

Enter the count date.
Enter the district name if the proper district name is not displayed.
Each of the fields displayed in the output of the report are described below. See Understanding the Report Output Table for a definition of each column in the table.
3-digit Program Assignment code.
This is entered on the Staff > Information page in the SpEd Instructor Program Assignment field.
A Special Education Program Assignment override field is available on the State/Province – MI > Spec Ed tab.
The name of the teacher responsible for instructing the Special Education student.
This value is pulled from the Special Education Instructor field on the State/Province – MI > Spec Ed tab.
Education District Name
This contains the school district name and is pulled from the District Name parameter on the report input page.
Institution/Building Nursing Home
This contains the building name.
Section 6 Defined Center Programs: ___Yes ___No
This is available to indicate if this is a Section 6 Defined Center Program.
Educating District Code
This contains the 5-digit state assigned district number. If the number is less than 5 digits, then leading zeros are added.
This field is not on a UI Page and may need to be updated using DDA. The field is a numeric field and does not allow for 5 characters, if the district number should have leading zeroes the field will not accept them, but the report will report with the leading zeroes.
Name of Student
This contains the student's name.
District of Residence
This contains the state-assigned District of Residence code identifying the district in which the student resides.
This value is from the Transfer Info page.
Special Education FTE
This contains the FTE membership value for Section 52. And represents the student's source of State Aid reimbursement.
This field is from the State/Province – MI > Spec Ed tab.
Kindergarten through 12th Grade FTE
This contains the General Education FTE membership value for the student's current grade level. The student's current grade level is from the Transfer Info page.
The General Education FTE membership value is from the State/Province – MI > Spec Ed tab or the State/Province – MI > General Ed 5-19 tab.
Alternative Education FTE
A value for this column is not pulled from the system.
Total FTE Column
This is calculated on the report. It is the sum of the Special Education Section 52 FTE and General Education FTE values by student as well as a grand total.
This is calculated using the student's date of birth as defined on the Demographics page.
Grand Total Headcount
Total number of students.
Grand Total of FTE
This row contains the grand total of FTE by grade level as well as an overall grand total.
This is the signature line for the teacher to sign.
This is the date line for the teacher to write in a date of verification.
