MI Early Roster/Nonpublic School Student Roster

Introduction

This will create the MI Early Roster or Nonpublic School Student Roster export file. Use this to submit projected student enrollment for the following school year.

The MI Early Roster is not a certified collection, so it does not impact accountability, nor does the submitted data become part of students' official records. Data are used for the creation of direct certification reports. The Division of Accountability Services (DAS) may also use Early Roster data for Kindergarten Entry Assessment (KEA) and Interim assessments.

The Nonpublic School Student Roster is for Nonpublic schools participating in the National School Lunch Program. Nonpublic schools participating in the National School Lunch Program are required to submit their entire student enrollment, including new enrollees and existing students, in the MSDS Nonpublic School Student Roster Collection. These data are used to update the direct certification report of children who are automatically certified for free school meals. The report is refreshed throughout the school year. For more information, visit CEPI's Direct Certification Report page.

Refer to the following links for additional information on the Early Roster Collection: http://www.mi.gov/cepi/0,1607,7-113-986_50502_53551---,00.html or Nonpublic School Student Roster Collection: https://www.michigan.gov/cepi/nonpub

Selection Criteria

  • The student's exit date is greater than the Previous Count Date entered in the report parameters. ([Students]ExitDate>Previous Count Date)
