CCGI Report Suite Summary

California College Guidance Initiative (CCGI)
The California College Guidance Initiative is a statewide program ensuring every 6th–12th grade student in California accesses comprehensive college and career planning tools. Managed through CaliforniaColleges.edu, the state’s official platform, CCGI helps students explore careers, plan coursework, and apply to colleges and financial aid programs—all in one place. By integrating academic data and providing personalized guidance, CCGI streamlines the transition from K–12 to higher education and careers, closing gaps in access and opportunity for students across the state.

All reports work together to create a complete CCGI submission package:

  • CCGI Student File Report - Core student demographic and enrollment data (Required)

  • CCGI Course Grade - Student course enrollment and grades (Required)

  • CCGI Test Grade Data Element - Standardized test scores (Optional)

  • CCGI Graduation Data Elements - Graduation status and dates (As Applicable)

  • CCGI Course Catalog Report

  • CCGI Manifest File - Control file listing all included reports (Required for Submission)

Complete Submission Workflow:

  1. Prepare data: Validate student SSIDs, grades, courses, and test scores

  2. Run CCGI Student Data Elements report

  3. Run CCGI Course Grade report

  4. (Optional) Run CCGI Test Grade Data Element report

  5. (If applicable) Run CCGI Graduation Data Elements report

  6. Run CCGI Manifest File report selecting all generated files

  7. Submit all files via SFTP to the CCGI system
