CCGI Course Grade Report

Overview

The CCGI Course Grade report (officially named CCGI Course Data Elements) is a California state-specific report designed to generate a comprehensive list of student course enrollments and final grades for the current academic term. This report is a required component of the College Career Guidance Initiative (CCGI) submission package.

Purpose

This report serves as one of the core data files required for CCGI submission, providing essential course and academic performance information including:

  • Student course enrollment details

  • Final course grades and credits

  • Academic rigor indicators (AP, IB, Honors)

  • Dual enrollment status

  • UC/CSU subject area designations

Report Requirements

Important: Ensure courses are completed and grades are finalized prior to running this report.

Eligibility

This report includes students in grades 9-12 with completed courses taken in grades 7-12.

Report Input

Field

Description

Select Schools

Unique identifiers for the schools to include in the report. Select schools using Ctrl+Click to choose multiple. Only schools not excluded from state reporting are available. This is a required field.

Select Students

Use the Student Selection page to filter and select students for the report. This is a required field.

SFTP connections

Select the SFTP connection for uploading the report. The report uploads automatically to the /course_grade/ directory upon completion. This is a required field.

The 10-digit California State Student ID (SSID) assigned to the student.

CDSCode

The County-District-School (CDS) code for the course institution.

[S_CA_SGR_X]CDS_Code

ATPCode

Alternative To Participation (ATP) code for the course.

[S_CA_SGR_X]CCGI_ATPCode

CourseInstitutionName

The name of the institution where the course was taken.

[S_CA_SGR_X]CCGI_CourseCurrTerm

IsWorkInProgress

Indicates whether the course is still in progress. Valid values: Y (Yes), N (No). Default: N.

N/A (Calculated - Default 'N')

GradeLevel

The student's grade level when the course was taken (07, 08, 09, 10, 11, or 12).

[StoredGrades]Grade_Level

SchoolYear

The school year in which the course was taken, formatted as YYYY-YY (e.g., 2024-25).

[Terms]FirstDay and LastDay (Calculated)

TermDescription

The full name/description of the academic term.

The abbreviated term code (e.g., S1, S2, Y1).

The curriculum term code for the course.

LocalCourseID

The local course identification number assigned by the district.

The abbreviated course name as it appears on the transcript.

SubjectArea

The UC/CSU subject area designation (e.g., A-G requirements).

AcademicIndicator

Indicates the academic rigor level of the course. Valid values: AP (Advanced Placement), IB (International Baccalaureate), H (Honors).

DualEnrollmentIndicator

Indicates dual enrollment status. Valid values: DE (Dual Enrollment).

CreditsAttempted

The number of credits attempted for the course.
