SIF Unity: Transcript Course History Publishing Update

The Transcripts publishing process has been updated to correctly pull data from the Course History section.

A previous update introduced a key‑matching issue that caused Course History records to drop silently during transcript generation. As a result, published transcripts displayed term‑level information but omitted courses, marks, and grades for both enrolled and transfer/imported students.

This issue is now fully resolved.

Included Changes

  • Course History now publishes correctly. Courses, marking periods, and marks are properly nested under each term and publish as expected for all students—both enrolled and transferred.

  • Improved handling of transfer/imported grades. Grades from multiple external schools within the same term are now distinguished correctly, preventing duplicate‑key errors.

  • Configurable store code support. Hard‑coded store code filters have been replaced with the Final Grade Store Codes setting. When configured, grades from non‑standard grading periods are now included in transcript publishing.

Action Required

Districts that need to include non‑standard term grades in transcripts should configure the Final Grades Store Codes setting at the school level. Once configured, those store codes will automatically be included in transcript publishing.

Default Behavior

Districts that do not configure Final Grades Store Codes will continue to see the same results as before. If no store codes are found for prior years, the system will fall back to the standard defaults:

  • Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4

  • S1, S2

  • T1, T2, T3

SIF Unity: Transcript Store Codes Configuration Update

Previously, when PowerSchool published Transcript (Student Academic Record) data, the list of store codes used to identify final grades was hard-coded in the system (Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4, S1, S2, T1, T2, T3). Districts with non-standard scheduling — such as block schedules — had no way to control which grades were included in transcript publishing.

This update makes the store code list configurable per school and school year, using the same Final Grades Store Code Mapping setup already in use for Student Section Marks publishing.

How it works now:

  • No Final Grades Store Code setup configured
The system continues to use the same default list of store codes.
    No action required.

  • Final Grades Store Code setup configured
The system uses the school's configured store codes for that school year instead of the built-in defaults.
Districts get full control over which grades publish to the transcript.

This update also ensures that credits and GPA calculations (Potential Credits, Total Credits, GPA Credits, GPA Points) remain aligned with the grades that are published.

  • Once a school configures the mapping for a school year, any store code not included in the configured list will not be published.

  • If a grade stops appearing on a transcript after configuring the Final Grades Store Codes, verify that the store code is included in the configured list for that school and year.

Where to configure:
School > State Reporting > CRDC Final Grade Store Codes — enter store codes as a comma-separated list (e.g., S1,S2) for each term.
