OnSIS Pending Area Extract Data File Import Updates |
PowerSchool has been updated to support the Ontario Ministry's revised Special Education PAE file layout (EXSMS-0005.00) for the 2026-2027 school year. This update adds backward compatibility to the Special Education PAE import process, allowing school boards that are still working with June submissions to continue importing files that use the previous file format. The import now supports both the legacy and revised PAE file layouts, ensuring a smooth transition to the new EXSMS-0005.00 specification. Once boards begin receiving files in the new format, they can be imported without requiring any additional coding changes. |

OnSIS Secondary School Submission - October Submission Update |
OnSIS Secondary School Submission: Version 23.2 The OnSIS Secondary School Submission extract has been updated to ensure the Sector-Partner Contextualized Experience (SPCE) segment is correctly generated for Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) students. Previously, the SPCE segment was omitted from the OnSIS XML submission if the student's All Requirements Met Date fell outside the school year, even if it fell within the submission period dates. The reporting logic now accurately includes the SPCE segment whenever a valid All Requirements Met Date is populated, regardless of whether the program completion date falls within or outside the current school year dates. |
