Montana AIM Section Placements 

Introduction

This report provides the assignment of a course to a period of time within a day and to days within a school year to calculate course minutes for Accreditation and for the allocation of state and federal CTE grants.

Selection Criteria

The report selects sections that have at least one student enrolled in active courses in the current school year. 

All sections in the current year.
Section and Course not excluded from state reporting.
Sections for the given Term and year in which the report is run.
Schools are NOT excluded from state reporting.

Note: Output file name/type:  MT_AIMS_SectionPlacement_<CurrentDate>.txt] in (text, tab-delimited file) format.  Example MT_AIMS_SectionPlacement_20241030.txt. This report generates a blank report if the section has no student enrolled in an active course or is not included in state reporting.

Description

Select Schools

If run at the district level, choose one of the following:

Select Multiple Schools – Select schools to include in the report. To select a single school, click that school. To select multiple schools, use Ctrl+Click and select each school to be included.
All Schools – Run the report for the entire district.

If run at the school level, the report includes all records associated with the current school that meet the selection criteria. To change the current school, click School at the top of the page and choose the appropriate school from the list.

Calendar Number (###)

Enter the school calendar number. If the school has more than one calendar, this value indicates which calendar is used for this report.
