Teacher Class Extract (TEAMS)-Co-Teacher Inclusion Report

Introduction

For each section of an active school course in the current school year, this report extracts records for the lead teacher, co-teachers, instructional paraprofessionals, and support staff when the teacher's section assignment is associated with a properly configured lead or co-teaching role. The report can be run for the fall or for the spring and pulls records for all courses that are scheduled during the current school year.

For the Teacher Class Extract (TEAMS) - Co-Teacher Inclusion report to extract the correct records, Co-Teaching Roles must be set up in PowerSchool. See the following section for details.

Configuring Roles for the Teacher Class Extract (TEAMS) - Co-Teacher Inclusion Report

The Teacher Class Extract uses the values on the Co-Teaching Roles page to determine whether a record should be extracted. Codes entered on this page also define the Support Staff Type and Co-Teacher and Instructional Paraprofessional type.

On the Co-Teaching Roles page, the Reference Code for a role must contain "MT" to be included in the extract. The extract uses the values in the Co-Teaching Roles Alt 1 code field to determine whether the role is Lead Teacher, Co-Teacher, or Instructional Paraprofessional and uses the values in the Alt 2 code field to set the values in the Co-Teacher Type Code or Instructional Para Type Code columns in the extract.

Note: Records with no Alt 1 code defined default to Teacher of Record.

  1. To configure roles for the Teacher Class Extract - Co-Teacher Inclusion report: On the Start Page, click the School link at the top of the page. The school list appears.
  2. Choose District Office from the pop-up menu. The district Start Page appears.
  3. Click System. The System Administrator page appears.
  4. Click Roles Administration. The Roles Administration page appears.
  5. Click Co-Teaching. The Co-Teaching Roles page appears.
  6. Click New. The Edit Co-Teaching Role appears.
  7. Complete the Name and Description fields, select the Enabled checkbox, and then select the applicable access/view/edit/display checkboxes for the role.
  8. In the Reference Code field, enter MT.
  9. In the Alt Code 1 field, enter one of the following codes. This code sets the Support Staff Type Code in the report:

Selection Criteria

Selection criteria determine which database records are used in the report. Refer to selection criteria for analysis when the report does not return the correct records.

Teacher Course/Section Selection

The report selects teacher assignment records from the [SectionTeacher] table for any section that is active in the school for the selected school year and has students enrolled in the course on the count date of the report.

  • The Section Teacher record must not be excluded from state reporting – [S_MT_STC_X]State_ExcludeFromReporting = 1 indicates an excluded record.
  • The Reference Code for the teacher role must equal "MT".
