DEX: 2026-2027 Profile Update

A new WISE 2026-2027 school year profile has been added for Wisconsin Ed-Fi (WISEdata) publishing. The changes are as follows:

  • A new "WISE 2026-2027" profile is automatically created using the existing EDFI_WI_7 profile type.

  • The Data Exchange URL has been updated to the state's new 2026-2027 endpoint (https://apps.dpi.wi.gov/EdFiWebApiV7/2027).

  • Credentials are automatically carried over from the most recent active 2025-2026 profile (including sub-district setups).

  • The new school year checkbox is enabled on the Data Exchange > General Setup page.

Note: Districts can continue publishing for 2025-2026 school year alongside the new profile without disruption.

Action Required

  1. Open the Data Exchange > General Setup page and confirm the WISE 2026-2027 profile is present.

  2. Click Configure and ensure that the LEA button is enabled.

  3. Run a Test Connection to verify connectivity with the new URLs and credentials.

  4. Click Save, click Close, and then on the General Setup page click Save again.

  5. If you are still publishing for prior years, uncheck the 2026-27 checkbox on those older profiles to avoid conflicts.

  6. Go to the WISE 2026-2027 dashboard and download the descriptors other resources available to download.

  7. Complete the code sets mappings based on the newly downloaded descriptors.

  8. Publish the resources in the order present on the dashboard.
