Discipline Incident Object – Action Other Code Enhancements (Part 2)

The Action OtherCode field in the Discipline Incident Object has been enhanced to support additional state reporting requirements.

Key Updates

• Added support for identifying alternative education placements.

• Introduced new outcomes for staff-related incidents involving allegations and determinations.

These updates ensure accurate reporting of both student and staff disciplinary actions to the State ODS.

Discipline Incident Object – Action Other Code Enhancements

New logic and codes have been added to the Action OtherCode field in the Discipline Incident Object to support state reporting requirements for students with and without disabilities (IDEA).

Key Updates

• Firearm Incident: Action OtherCode set when a firearm is involved.

• Students without Disabilities (IDEA = No): Action OtherCode derived based on expulsion type, duration, and action change.

• Students with Disabilities (IDEA = Yes): Action OtherCode derived with IDEA-compliant codes for similar scenarios.

• Scenarios Covered: Full/shortened expulsions (with/without services), removals due to incarceration/withdrawal, other disciplinary actions, and no action taken.

LEAInfo Object & UI Enhancements

Updates have been made to the LEAInfo object and Compliance UI to meet new state reporting requirements.

Key Updates

• LEAInfo Object:

  • Added new element LocalIdSystem with value set to "SEA".

• UI Changes (Student → Compliance):

  • Removed numbering from the Home Language Survey list.

  • Updated label text to: “Language First Learned by Student”.

School Info – Data Changes Implementation

The system now supports data changes detection for School Info and related resources, ensuring timely updates to the State ODS.

Key Update

• Detects changes across all user-editable fields and initiates publishing through Data Exchange when updates occur.

Wave 2025–2026 Profile Update

The existing Wave 2024–2025 profile has been updated to support the 2025–2026 academic year, ensuring compliance with new state reporting requirements.

Key Changes

• Updated profile to Wave 2025–2026

• Updated school year selection to 2025–26 only

• Cleared integration fields (URLs, Key, Secret)

• Enabled service options: Data Changes, Download, Publish

• Applied changes to Sub-district setup

• Includes script to update profile name for existing users
