NOVA - 26-27 - Instruction Type Data Collection

In order to allow for the reporting of the new Instruction Type data, the following data collection updates have been made:

1. Start Page> District Management> District Setup> School Info> [Select School]> New Mexico State Reporting Information

   1. A new Instruction Type field is now available. This field should be set to the value that represents how the instruction type of the majority of enrolled students. The selected value will drive the Instruction Type value published for the students enrolled in the school.

2. Start Page> [Select Student]> Compliance> Instruction Type

   1. On this new Instruction Type tab, end users can create Instruction Type records as needed. These records will serve as an override to how the school is set.

      • Example:

        • School is set to In-Person

        • Due to an unplanned event, a student needs to transition to Distance Learning for the month of September. A student-level, Distance Learning record can be created from 9/1/2026 to 9/30/2026 and the publishing logic will correctly report the instruction type classifications and date ranges based on the school setting and any manually entered records at the student-level.

Note: The publishing logic to support this data collection will be released in a future update.

NOVA - 26-27 - Staff Vacancy Data Collection Updates

The district-level Staff Vacancy data entry page has been updated to reflect the new 26-27 staffing categories.

Additionally, the count fields have been updated to be able to accept decimal values.

Note: The count fields should reflect the FTE count.

The following columns have been added to the NOVA Incident Management Data Verification report:

• Student Excluded - This indicates whether or not the student is set to be excluded from state reporting.

• School Excluded - This indicates whether or not the school the student was in, at the time of the incident, was set to be excluded from state reporting
