PSSR-420007

New - Concurrent Enrollment Functionality

The Concurrent Enrollment functionality is now available for students that are taking courses in a remote school (still within the LEA).

See below for some important notes on changes regarding the functionality:

• A reposchema update will be executed first and will clear out any old data in the S_STU_CE_C table.

• The functionality is now governed by a district-level pref and will be disabled by default. Districts that need this functionality will need to navigate to the page below and enable it.

• Once enabled, the following will occur:

  • The automatic sync that creates Concurrent Enrollment records will be activated and will run every 30 minutes.

    • Note: This sync can be run manually by accessing the xxxxx report on the Compliance Reports page.

  • The Concurrent Enrollment section on the Enrollment History page will become visible.

  • The publishing logic will publish qualifying Concurrent Enrollment (CE) data from the S_STU_CE_C table.

• If the functionality is disabled (either it’s never enabled or if it is disabled after being enabled for an amount of time):

  • The automatic sync will be disabled and will no longer write data to the S_STU_CE_C table.

  • The Concurrent Enrollment section on the Enrollment History page will disappear.

  • The publishing logic will not publish any CE data, even if there is data in the S_STU_CE_C table.

Additional changes worth noting:

• Multiple remote course enrollments, with an overlapping date range, will result in a single CE record

  • Example

    • Course 1 (S1) – 8/15/2025 to 1/15/2026

    • Course 2 (Q2) – 10/15/2025 to 1/15/2026

    • A single CE record will be created with a date range of 8/15/2025 to 1/15/2026

• CE records can be created for 99x students that are taking a course at their PS “home” school

  • Scenario:

    • Student is enrolled in School A

    • Student’s Location Code field is set to 992

    • Student is taking a course at School A

    • Guidance: A CE record would need to be manually created (the automatic sync will not handle this scenario) and the selected school should be the students “home” school.

NOVA - Concurrent Enrollment Publishing Update

The Student School Enrollment (studentSchoolAssociation) publishing logic has been updated and now records in the S_STU_CE_C table will be published if the district-level Concurrent Enrollment functionality is enabled.

Note: If the Concurrent Enrollment functionality is disabled at the district-level, Concurrent Enrollment records will not publish even if there is data in the S_STU_CE_C table.

PSSR-420693

NOVA - Special Education EdOrgID Update for the Location Code field

The Special Education record (studentSpecialEducationProgramAssociation) EdOrgID logic has been updated and will now honor the Location Code field value (it’s been set).

This update will allow Sped Events and IEP Date records, for these students, to publish successfully.

NOVA - Student Grades publishing update for early grads

Additional Reference: PSSR-423010

The Student Grades publishing logic has been updated and now qualifying grades will publish as expected if a student graduates early and is moved to the Graduated Students school.

Note: The school the student graduates from must be a reportable school and the student must have qualifying grades.
