Attendance Hours Calculation Updates

New Attendance Preference Added:
A Missouri-specific attendance preference is now available on the School Attendance Preferences page. Schools can choose to calculate attendance based on either daily or meeting attendance records.

Support for Remote Classes in Meeting Attendance:
Schools that wish to include remote student classes in attendance calculations must:

  • Enable the CORE SIS attendance preference to include remote classes in general attendance.

  • Set the new Missouri attendance preference to Meeting.

Districts and schools that prefer to retain the current daily-based calculation do not need to take any action. The update is backward-compatible and will not change existing configurations unless explicitly updated.

June Career Technical Student Organization (CTSO): Version 1.6

The June Career Technical Student Organization (CTSO) report is updated with additional selection criteria to include only students that are enrolled at least one day in the current school year and that have at least one CTSO indicator.

Virtual Attendance Updates for Midpoint method

Enhancements have been made to the attendance calculation logic when a district is using the Midpoint Method for virtual attendance. These updates also affect how certain attendance data is displayed on the Student Detail Report, Student Summary Report, and the Student Attendance and Enrollment Report.

Midpoint Method Handling:
When a district’s virtual attendance preference is set to Midpoint Method (as opposed to the Bell Schedule Method), the system now incorporates logic to apply school cap hour calculations for applicable student attendance records.

Visual Indicator in Student Detail Report:
For districts using the Midpoint Method, the following three elements in the Student Detail Report will now be preceded by an asterisk (*) to signify that the school cap hour calculation has been applied:

  • Total Attendance

  • Total Membership

  • % Att
