The minimum supported version on PowerSchool SIS State/Provincial Reporting installer is updated and can now be installed on PowerSchool SIS 25.1 or later. For details refer to PowerSchool SIS – Supported PowerSchool Versions.

Ed-Fi – Added nextYearGradeLevelDescriptor to studentSchoolAssociation

Enhanced the studentSchoolAssociation resource to include the nextYearGradeLevelDescriptor field. The value is derived from the current grade level: if below Grade 12, it is set to the next grade; if Grade 12, it remains Grade 12. This logic applies to all students, including re-enrolled students, ensuring accurate year-over-year grade progression in published Ed-Fi data.

2025-2026 Updates for SPED Data

The following fields are added to the WI section of the student SPED page and stored in S_WI_SEN_X:

Shortened School Day Indicator

Indicates that the student’s IEP requires a shortened school day.

Reduction In Hours Per Week Compared To Peers

Number of hours reduced per week compared to regular education peers.

Total hours of instructional time per week the IEP student attends.

Residential Care Center (RCC) Placement Type

Type of RCC placement (e.g., County Placed, Parent Placed, IEP Team Placed).

Community Provider Id

Unique identifier for the RCC facility for in-state placements.

RCC Name

Name of the RCC facility for out-of-state placements.

RCC City

City where the out-of-state RCC is located.

RCC State Abbreviation

State abbreviation for the out-of-state RCC location.

A clarifying note of ‘If the school is unknown, select any school within the district.’ is added to the Expected Transfer School field on the following pages:

  • WISE data public school student page

  • Edit Current Enrollment

  • Edit Previous Enrollment

Field Level Security Update for Student Compliance Pages

The following student pages are updated to correctly use Field Level Security on state specific fields:

  • Choice School Students

  • Pupil Count Student Information (PI-1563)

  • Mid-Year Student Residency Status Changes

  • WISEdata Student Information

Note: It is recommended that districts now use Field Level Security to control access to this page.

SCED 12 and Rigor Level Updates for 2025-2026

The following updates are made for 2025-2026:

  • New fields are added for SCED 12 Course Code and SCED 12 Roster Code.

    • DPI is no longer collecting the Rigor Level beginning in 2025-2026.

  • A repo schema will automatically run to copy SCED 11 Course Code and SCED 11 Roster Code to the SCED 12 Course Code (excluding the rigor level) and SCED 12 Roster Code (this does not contain the rigor level).

  • The Courses > District/General page is updated to display the appropriate codes based on school year.

  • The Course Sections > School > Courses and Sections /Edit Sections page is updated to display the appropriate CTE Departments based on school year.
