Ed-Fi: schoolAttendanceDuration Publishing Updated for SSD Attendance Events

The publishing logic for schoolAttendanceDuration in the Attendance Ed-Fi resource, when the attendanceEventCategoryDescriptors is SSD, has been updated. If no value is present on the student-level TN Compliance page, the system will now fetch the value from the Student Day Length field on the Instructional Program page.

TN EduID Validation Enhancements for Student Records

The system has been enhanced to validate student data before sending EduID requests to the TNDOE Identity Server. When a SIS user initiates an EduID request from the Student Compliance page, the system now checks for mandatory fields and formatting rules required by the State ODS Identity Server. If any validation fails, a popup message will inform the user of the specific issue, helping ensure accurate data submission and reliable search results.

The following validations are now enforced:

• FirstName and LastSurname are now required and must contain only letters, apostrophes, hyphens, and spaces.

• MiddleName must also follow the same character restrictions.

• SexType must be one of M, F, or U. Previously, values other than M or F were defaulted to O; the logic has been updated to send U as per the latest state requirements.

• BirthInternationalProvince must be exactly two letters. When the country is not US, the system now sends only the state value instead of a concatenation of state and country.
