DIRS Batch File - Location Count Update

DIRS Extract Version: 1.5

The following updates are made to the report

  • The count has been added to the incidentLocationList as newly required for the 2024-2025 file.

  • The ‘(DIRS) Reasonable Force Used code^’ report logic is written for districts to not be forced to add the code to every non-special education student, the logic is as follows:

    • If the ‘(DIRS) Reasonable Force Used code^’ Participant Attribute is not selected in the Incident and the student’s Primary Disability field on the student's School Enrollment has a value of 00 or 54, the reasonableForeUsed data element is added with a 'false ' value.

    • If the Primary Disability value is anything other than 00 or 54 the data element will not be added to the file.

Note: If there is reasonable force used, the ‘(DIRS) Reasonable Force Used code^ and '(DIRS) Reasonable Force Role^’ Participant Attribute Codes on the offender or victim will need to be added to the Incident.

  • Logic is written to only include the Incident Action Start Date and Action End Date when the disciplinaryactionType is 3 or 4.

Perkins P File Update

Perkins P File Version: 1.3

Districts that assign potential credit on terms that are not storing credit for the purpose of weighted GPA’s on grades not storing credit were not able to use the Perkins P-File because the report uses potential credit. The report is updated allowing a district to select the store codes to include in the report instead of relying solely on course grades with potential credit.

More information on the new option and changed report parameters can be found in the Perkins P File help documentation.
