PSSR-396812 | DIRS Extract Report - Reasonable Force Used Update | DIRS Extract Version: 1.6 The report logic for the new data elements tags of <reasonableForceUsed> and <reasonableForceRole> are updated to follow the rules below: The student's special education status at the time of the incident is determined by checking the Primary Disability value in Current and Previous enrollments based on the date of the incident. If the student has overlapping enrollment records, the enrollment record with the lowest Primary Disability value is used to determine the student’s special education status. Primary Disability values that indicate the student is not special education are blank, ’00’ and ‘54’. If the student is not special education and the district does not have the Reasonable Force Used participant attribute code selected for the student, the <reasonableForceUsed> will be added with a value of ‘false’. If a student has the Reasonable Force Used participant attribute code in the incident it will be reported regardless of the special education status. If the student is special education at the time of incident, the district should not add the Reasonable Force Used participant attribute code to the student’s incident.
