Enhancement - Publish Selection Feature Added for VT Ed-Fi Non-On-Demand Student Resources

A new Publish Selection option has been introduced for VT Ed-Fi non on-demand student resources, including Student Identification, Student Enrollment, and Contacts. This feature allows district and school administrators to publish data for a specific selection of students rather than running a full school- or district-wide publish job. Select one or more students from the Start Page, navigate to Data and Reporting then Data Exchange Dashboard, click Run Now on the desired resource and choose Publish Selection. This enhancement significantly improves efficiency for districts that need to update data for a small group of students without waiting for a full publish cycle. The feature has been optimized for performance across both small and larger student selections.

Reconciliation Corrected for Multiple VT Ed-Fi Resources

Reconciliation has been fixed for several VT Ed-Fi resources that were not properly pulling back expected records. The affected resources include Calendar, Bell Schedule, Staff Education Organization Employment Associations, Student Program Associations, and Student School Food Service Program Associations. Districts running reconciliation for these resources will now see the correct records returned, ensuring data consistency between the local system and the state Ed-Fi ODS.

Ed-Fi: Expired Contact Addresses Excluded from VT Ed-Fi Publishing

The VT Ed-Fi Contact resource has been updated to exclude expired addresses from publishing. Previously, contact addresses with an end date in the past could still be included in Data Exchange publishing. The publishing logic now evaluates address end dates against district term dates to determine whether an address should be included for the school year being published to the Ed-Fi ODS.

Addresses with no end date will continue to publish for all applicable school years. Addresses that were active during a school year will continue to publish for that year, while addresses with an end date before the start of a school year will no longer be published for that year. This enhancement helps ensure that only applicable contact addresses are reported to Ed-Fi

District Action Required:
To apply this change to existing published data, run Publish Changes for the Contact resource category.

PSSR-440604

Ed-Fi Course Transcripts Updated to Publish School Identifier

The VT Ed-Fi Course Transcript and Student Academic Record resources have been updated to publish the School ID associated with the student's enrollment at the time the course was taken, instead of the District ID. This change aligns publishing behavior with Vermont AOE expectations and ensures that transcript and academic record data accurately reflect the school where the coursework was completed.

District Action Required:
To apply this correction, districts will need to republish the Student Transcript resource category twice:

1. First republish: Removes previously published records that used the District ID.

2. Second republish: Publishes new Course Transcript and Student Academic Record records using the correct School ID as the Education Organization ID.

Completing both republish cycles is required for the updated identifier to be reflected in the ODS.
