Ed-Fi Framework: Resolved Incorrect 403 Error Issue

Ed-Fi school related records, such as calendars and schedules, now show as Error instead of Published when the Ed-Fi ODS rejects them.

Note: This fix only affects records published after the latest update. Records already marked as Published before the update will stay on the Published dashboard.

Ed-Fi Framework: Resolved the Download Errors with Schools

When a school record from the state had no associated district record, the download failed and the schools weren't saved. Schools now download correctly, so you won't see the related publishing errors in other resources, such as "Invalid School ID."

Ed-Fi Framework: Staff Contact Publishing via Publish Selection

Fixed an issue where district level Staff Contact records failed to publish during Publish Selection. District staff contact records now publish as expected alongside school associations.

Ed-Fi: Resolved Orphan Records When Updating Staff Employing Organization ID

When the Employing Organization ID was updated on the Vermont Staff Place of Service page for a staff member with previously published data, the prior Staff Employment record was not deleted from the Ed-Fi Operational Data Store (ODS), resulting in orphan or duplicate records.

Resolution: Updated the composite key logic for the StaffEducationOrganizationEmploymentAssociations resource to include the Staff Employing Organization ID. When the Employing Organization ID is changed and republished, the previously published record is deleted from the ODS and replaced with the updated record, preventing orphan records.

District Action:

This ticket includes a composite key change, so existing records are deleted and a new record is published for STAFFEDUCATIONORGANIZATIONEMPLOYMENTASSOCIATIONS. Because the JSON doesn’t change, the ODS returns the same resource ID for the new record. From SIS, even though we send a delete for the old record and publish another, the old record remains in deletion because it references child resources. Districts can run the Clear Deletion Erroneous Records DEX Special Operation to clear those records from SIS.
