Import Financial Literacy Results using Quick Import and Data Import Manager

PowerSchool supports importing Financial Literacy Graduation Requirement results from an external system using Quick Import or the Data Import Manager.

The import creates or updates the student's Financial Literacy result, including completion status, score, and test date.

The Financial Literacy test uses the following result values:

Quick Import

Use Quick Import to import Financial Literacy results into the Financial Literacy test.

  1. Choose Special Functions from the main menu.

  2. Click Importing & Exporting.

  3. Click Quick Import.

  4. Choose the appropriate test-related table.

  5. Select the file delimiter and character set that match the import file.

  6. Browse to and select the Financial Literacy import file.

  7. Verify that Suggest Field Map is selected.

  8. Map the import fields as described below.

  9. Select Check to exclude first row if the file contains column headings.

  10. Click Import and review the results.

The Quick Import template must support, at minimum, the following fields:

Student identifier

Identifies the student associated with the imported result.

Alpha score

The Financial Literacy result. Valid values are 1 for Successfully Completed, 2 for Not Successfully Completed Yet, and N/A for Not Applicable or exempt.

Percent

The Financial Literacy mark, when provided by the external system.

Data Import Manager

Use the Data Import Manager to import Financial Literacy results when the source file contains the complete student, school, term, grade, test, score, and date information.

The Data Import Manager template must support, at minimum, the following fields:

STUDENT_NUMBER

The student's PowerSchool student number.

SCHOOL_NUMBER

The school number associated with the result.

TERM_CODE

The term associated with the result.

GRADE_LEVEL

The student's grade level.

TEST_NAME

The name of the test. Use the Financial Literacy test name configured for the district.

TEST_DATE

The date on which the result was achieved.

SCORE_NAME

The name of the score.

ALPHA_SCORE

The Financial Literacy result: 1, 2, or N/A.

To import the file:

  1. Navigate to the Data Import Manager page.

  2. Select the source file.

  3. Choose the applicable test-related import destination.

  4. Map the source columns to the PowerSchool fields listed above.

  5. Review the mapped fields and import options.

  6. Click Import.

  7. Review the import results and correct any failed records before reimporting them.
