UI Updates for 2026-2027 State Reporting
The following updates are made to the student Compliance pages for the 2026-2027 School Year:
The Early Reading Deficiency Component page and all the fields are moved to the Obsolete tab.
The Early Childhood Programs Component page has the following updates:
The Additional Eligibility Factors field is moved to the Non-Reported tab with ‘Retired in 2026-27’ text.
The Early Childhood Program field value ‘(21) GSRP - Wait List’ is moved to obsolete.
The Qualifying Factors field select list ‘(C) Qualifying IEP’ is updated to remove the word ‘Qualifying’.
The Building Pupil Would Otherwise Attend ([S_MI_STU_GC_X]bldgOtherwiseAttend) field is moved to the School Demographics Non-Reported tab with ‘Retired in 2026-27’ text.
The Support Services select list added option (495) Counseling on the Special Education Component page.
The Section 23a Component page now includes the new ‘Completed Course Count’ field that defaults to 0.

DEX: MiDataHub 2026-2027 Profile
The Michigan Data Exchange (DEX) profile has been updated to support the 2026-2027 school year infrastructure (v7.3). The changes are as follows:
A new MiDataHub profile using the new EDFI_MI_7 profile type is now available for 2026-2027 publishing.
The prior profile has been renamed to "MI DataHub (Archived)" for reference.
The 2026-27 school year option is now available on the Data Exchange > General Setup page and is selected by default.
Data Exchange and Authentication URLs have been updated to the new state-provided endpoints.
The Authentication Key and Secret copied automatically from the previous profile.
Note: Prior-year (2025-2026) publishing remains unaffected since the state has upgraded their infrastructure to the latest version.
Action Required
Open the Data Exchange > General Setup page and confirm the MiDataHub profile is present.
Click Configure and ensure that the LEA button is enabled.
Run a Test Connection to verify connectivity with the new URLs and credentials.
Click Save, click Close, and then on the General Setup page click Save again.
Go to the MiDataHub dashboard and download the descriptors other resources available to download.
Complete the code sets mappings based on the newly downloaded descriptors.
Publish the resources in the order present on the dashboard.
Also, check the Request UIC tab to ensure that students receive unique IDs successfully.
