PSSR-381128

All States: Change history for Student Programs

Change History functionality is now available on the Student Programs page, enabling tracking of updates to key fields.

A new category has been added to the Student Program Change History page to monitor changes to Entry Date, Exit Date, SP Comment, Program, Exit Reason, and Grade Level.

Note: This functionality is not applicable to the State-specific Student Program pages.

All States: NCEA 2026-2027 Data collection Updates

The NCEA data collection has received the following updates to conform to the 26-27 specifications.
Updated Screens

• School Management → Academics → School Information for NCEA Reporting

• District Management → District Setup → General → District Information for NCEA Reporting

Following New Fields has been added

• Building Type (Added for School Information data collection)

  • Early Childhood Center

  • Elementary

  • Secondary

  • (P)K - 12

    Note: This field must be populated in order for that building to be represented in the report output. In addition to this new field, updates have been made to existing district-level data elements so they can be populated for each of the four Building Type values.

• To the best of your knowledge, of the principals not returning, how many are remaining in Catholic education? (Added for Diocese Information screen)

  • This data is to be populated for each of the four Building Type values.

• Reason for Superintendent Change (Added for Diocese Information data collection)

  • This question is added to the existing question, if the diocese hired a new superintendent since last year is Yes

• To the best of your knowledge, of the teachers not returning, how many are remaining in Catholic education? (Added for School Information data collection)

• Number of students who were newly baptized Catholic or received full communion during the 2025-2026 school year. Exclude students already baptized Catholic who completed first communion or confirmation (Added for School Information data collection)

PSSR-422598

CEPI Validation Update for General Education FTE Page

The CEPI 244.16.16 validation warning was appearing on students who were older than 22 (as of Sept 1 of the current year) when the General Education FTE was blank or 0. This is corrected and this group of students will only receive the warning when the General Education FTE is > 0.

Home and Primary Language - New Validation

A validation is added alerting the user when they have set the home and primary language to report the same.

Military Connect Student Import Validation

When importing data, a validation is created to alert users when they have a value other than blank, 0 or 1 entered in the Military Connected Student field (S_MI_STU_GC_X.militaryConnStudent).

Personal Demographics - New Validations

The following validations are added to the student compliance Personal Demographics page:

• When the Resident LEA Number field is blank and there is no number to the right of the field in the ‘When left blank, the Resident LEA Number will be: 99999’ text:

  • An error icon appears on the Personal Demographics tab.

  • The message "ResidentLEANumber is required unless 'State' does not equal 'MI' or one of the Program Eligibility Participation codes is 9110 - Out of State Resident. (CEPI 210.296.2)" appears on the page.

  • The ResidentLEANumber tag does not appear in the General, SRM or Early Childhood files.

• When the Student Resident County field is blank:

  • An error icon appears on the Personal Demographics tab.

  • The message "A blank Student Resident County will cause a Failed File Level Validation on the MSDS Upload Status." appears on the page.

  • The StudentResidentCounty tag does not appear in the General, SRM or Early Childhood files.

Section 23a Tab - Validation Error

In some instances, students with special education data who were also Section 23a students were receiving an incorrect CEPI 286.2 validation error on the Section 23a Component tab, this is corrected.

Student Residency - New Validation

When Student Residency is blank on the student Membership Compliance page, the following occurs:

• An error icon appears on the Membership tab.

• The message "A blank Student Residency will cause a Failed File Level Validation on the MSDS Upload Status." appears on the Membership page.
