Use this configuration when you want an online registration form to create a parent or guardian contact and link the them to a student in PowerSchool.
Overview
This integration creates:

An association between the parent and student

A relationship type (Mother, Father, Guardian, etc.)
Parent/Guardian Contact Using Student Mailing Address
This configuration allows an online registration provider to create a parent or guardian contact, associate the contact with a student, and indicate that the contact uses the student's mailing address. This option is typically used when the parent and student reside at the same address and separate contact address information is not collected during registration.
Important: This configuration does not create mailing or physical address records for the contact. The contact is configured to use the student's mailing address.

Business Rules

A valid student association is required before a contact can be linked to a student.

A relationship value must be provided.

The relationship should be marked as active.

The contact should not be excluded from state reporting unless district policy requires otherwise.

When SAMEMAILINGADDRESS is set to 1, the contact uses the student's mailing address.

When PHYSICALADDRESSSOURCE is set to StudentMailingAddress, PowerSchool derives the contact's address information from the student's mailing address.

This configuration does not create separate mailing or physical address records for the contact.

If the parent or guardian has a different mailing or physical address than the student, address information should be collected separately and mapped to the appropriate contact address fields.
Expected Result
After registration is processed:
