DEX: MARSS 2026-2027 Profile

A new MARSS 2026-2027 profile has been added to the Data Exchange (DEX) for Minnesota Ed-Fi (MARSS). The updates are as follows:

  • A MARSS 2026-2027 profile is now available on the Data Exchange General Setup page.

  • The profile uses updated state URLs for the 2026-2027 school year (https://api.education.mn.gov/edfiapi/).

  • The Key and Secret are automatically copied from the previous year's active profile.

  • The 2026-2027 checkbox is enabled by default for new profile setups.

Action Required

  1. Open the Data Exchange > General Setup page and confirm the MARSS 2026-2027 profile is present.

  2. Update the Authentication Key to append the new school year.
    The Authentication Key is encrypted. So you must open it, update the year, and save it.

  3. Click Configure and ensure that the LEA button is enabled.

  4. Run a Test Connection to verify connectivity with the new URLs and credentials.

  5. Click Save, click Close, and then on the General Setup page click Save again.

  6. If required, manually uncheck the 2025-2026 checkbox for prior year profiles.

  7. Go to the MARSS 2026-2027 dashboard and download the descriptors other resources available to download.

  8. Complete the code sets mappings based on the newly downloaded descriptors.

  9. Publish the resources in the order present on the dashboard.
