State Reporting 23.7.3.0 Release Notes

A release announcement will be posted on PowerSchool Community when the installer is available for download. Refer to 2023 State Reporting Releases for release dates.

In the 2023-2024 school year, Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) announced a change to the valid values reported in the Grade Level field. This is a breaking change and is NOT backward compatible.
This release also contains updates to the KIDS Collection reports for the 2023-2024 school year ahead of updates from KSDE. They plan to open the KIDS production environment on or after August 1, 2023.
You MUST complete all 2022-2023 school year submissions prior to installing the PowerSchool SIS State Reporting Update version 23.7.3.0. Please review the release notes for details.

PSSR-319966	All States/Provinces: CRDC 2021-2022: Add PSCH-3 Preschool Enrollment of Students with Disabilities on School Template/Report	CRDC Report (2021-2022): Version 0.2 The 2021-2022 CRDC school report now collects additional information of Preschool Enrollment of English Learners in the question PSCH-3 Preschool Enrollment of Students with Disabilities - IDEA and Section504.
PSSR-319955	All States/Provinces: CRDC 2021-2022: New Disaggregation of Section 504 for Preschool Enrollment (PSCH-1) on School Template/Report	CRDC Report (2021-2022): Version 0.2 The 2021-2022 CRDC school report will now have a new disaggregation of “Section 504 Only” for the PSCH-1 Preschool Enrollment item.
PSSR-320083	All States/Provinces: CRDC School CSV report update	The CRDC 2021-2022 Collection requires the removal of questions regarding courses taught by certified teachers from the school CSV report.
PSSR-288826	All States/Provinces: CRDC School Submission File Update	If a school has no out-of-school suspensions to report, the following columns will be populated with a value of zero: SCH_OOSINSTANCES_WODIS SCH_OOSINSTANCES_IDEA SCH_OOSINSTANCES_504
PSSR-321787	All States/Provinces: Immunization Rules Engine Update	The immunization rules engine can now compare immunization dose dates and the number of doses a student has received to date fields in Core and extended tables (Student.EntryDate, for example) Note: Immunization rules must be updated to utilize this new functionality.
PSSR-324024	All States/Provinces: Null Pointer Exception Error When Saving Vaccine Dose Data	Student dose data is now saved now in the Nightly Batch process. This will prevent users from receiving the null pointer exception error when entering (and saving) vaccination dose data.
PSSR-320173	CRDC: COUR-1 to COUR-4 questions update to school csv report	The reporting of the Grade 7 and 8 Algebra I Classes is now reported as a combined value instead of reporting them separately.
PSSR-320666	CRDC - Mandatory - Add new fields for Interscholastic Athletics - school csv	The CRDC 2021-2022 Collection requires additional data elements to track the Interscholastic Athletics questions ATHL-1 and ATHL-2. The new fields added to the school csv file are : SCH_SPORTS_ALLSTU SCH_TEAMS_ALLSTU SCH_PART_NONBINARY
PSSR-320064	CRDC - Mandatory - Add new question PSCH-2 Preschool Enrollment of English Learners - school csv	Two new questions PSCH-2a and PSCH-2b have been added to the CRDC 2021-22 School csv report which counts the number of students enrolled in English Learner and English Learner Programs.
PSSR-319962	CRDC - Mandatory - Add new question PSCH-2 Preschool Enrollment of English Learners - pdf report	Two new questions PSCH-2a and PSCH-2b have been added to the pdf report which will count the number of students enrolled in English Learner and English Learners Program.
PSSR-319786	CRDC - Merged the Algebra/Geometry and Other mathematics fields to one single mathematics field	The CRDC 2021-2022 Collection requires modifications to the data elements to be reported in the school PDF report for COUR-13 Single-Sex Academic Classes Detail. The counts for Algebra/Geometry and Other Mathematics fields are now reported under a single Mathematics field.
PSSR-320635	2023-2024: KIDS Collection Data Entry Updates	Additional Reference: PSSR-322301, PSSR-323278 , PSSR-322920 The data entry on the Compliance pages is updated based on the 2023-2024 KIDS collection requirements. 1, Moved the following fields from State/Province-KS > Demographics tab to Legacy tab. D21. First Instruction Date D31. Post-Graduation Plans D43. ESOL/Bilingual Program Ending Date Moved the following field from State/Province-KS > Assessments tab to Legacy tab. D76. State History/Gov Assessment Added the following fields to the State/Province-KS > Demographics tab: D29. High School Credits Earned D30. High School Credits Required to Graduate D31. Dropout Diploma Completion Virtual Student D39. K-12 Kansas At-Risk Program Participation D58. Preschool-Aged At-Risk Program Participation D10. Grade Level Override field is updated with new options and is now required for preschool and ungraded students. Note: This is a breaking change and is not backward compatible. D25. PSSR-323237	2023-2024: KIDS Collection TASC Report Update	KIDS Collection TASC: Version 2.8 The KIDS Collection TASC report is updated for the 2023-2024 school year, In the header record, the report version is updated to 19. The Grade Level is updated to extract as follows: If the student’s grade level is 0 through 12, then extract it. If the student’s grade level is less than 0 or greater than 12, then check if the grade level override has IT, PR, or UG. If yes, extract it. If no, extract the student’s grade level.
